Your Responsibilities

‍

·      Play a key role in unlocking investment opportunities for tier 1 institutional investors such as Private Equity funds, by finding insights from data related to software & tech companies.

·      Extract and transform data about software companies, including financial data (e.g., revenue, growth, EBITDA, etc.), non-financial data (e.g., description, number of employees, HQ, etc.), and alternative data sets (e.g., Google news, social media, etc.) - from multiple sources including internal databases, webscraping, REST APIs, etc. to prepare for data analysis and modeling.

·      Conduct in-depth fundamental research on software and technology companies

·      Perform strategic and financial analysis on both publicly listed and privately owned software and technology companies

·      Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to work with financial data sets and identify trends and patterns

·      Collaborate with a team of experienced ex-Tier 1 management consultants and investment professionals

·      Deliver high-quality deliverables that support decision-making on multi-million-dollar investments

·      Provide valuable insights and recommendations that will help drive the success of our investment portfolio

Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

·      You are a Tier 1 engineering / business school student with a data science background

·      You are proficient in Python, and you have experience with Machine Learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.) and ideally with webscraping frameworks such as Scrapy

·      You are able to present technical concepts to diverse, technical, and non-technical audiences

·      You have relevant experience in strategy, finance, and business

·      You like working in a team setting

·      You are not afraid of challenges, are proactive and self-motivated

·      You have strong oral and written communication skills in English

·      You have a strong strategic thinking mind

·      You like collaborating as a team, and deliver your best as an individual

·      You are not afraid of challenges, or jumping into the unknown, and to become a world expert in specific topics & areas
